In some cases, Finale may encounter problems when connecting to the Finale authorization server due to network security. In this situation, you will see the following error message:
An internet connection is recommended during the authorization process. Please connect to the internet, disable any firewalls, and select "Retry". If this computer cannot connect to the internet, select "Continue".
You may see this error message even if it appears you have a working connection to the internet. This is common on school networks, and can be caused by a firewall or security settings on your computer, the network, or a wireless router. To allow Finale access the authorization server, whitelist the following URL:
Finale uses the ports 80 and 443 for authorization.
