Providing your administrator password

When you install an application on a Macintosh computer, the Macintosh operating system will require you to provide an administrator password for your computer.

 This is a normal procedure during any application installation on a Mac, including Finale family notation programs. The password being requested is needed by your computer to give permission to the application installer so that it can do what it needs to install the program.
