The Garritan CFX Concert Grand and CFX Lite plug-ins are currently available in VST2 format only. We do not currently have a timeline for a native VST3 version of the standalone CFX plug-in.
However, users of modern DAWs that require VST3 support (such as Cubase or Nuendo) have two primary options for using the CFX libraries:
Option 1: Use the Garritan ARIA Player (Recommended for VST3-only environments)
The Garritan ARIA Player is available as a VST3 plug-in and can load the CFX library. This allows you to use the CFX sounds within a VST3-only environment.

Configure CFX: Follow the steps in the CFX Concert Grand or CFX Lite User Manuals to load the CFX library into the ARIA Player.

Option 2: Re-enable VST2 Support in Cubase 14, 15 & Nuendo 14
If you prefer to use the original CFX plug-in interface, Steinberg’s latest DAW versions (Cubase 14, 15, and Nuendo 14) still support VST2 plug-ins, though they are disabled by default. You can manually re-enable VST2 support within the DAW settings to recognize the CFX Concert Grand VST2 plug-in without needing to download the ARIA Player.
For instructions on re-enabling VST2 plug-ins, please refer to Steinberg Help Center: Using VST 2 Plug-ins in Cubase/Nuendo 14 and Cubase 15.
