Additionally, we continue to offer Dorico Pro crossgrades for purchase to eligible Finale & PrintMusic license holders.

On April 30, 2025, Steinberg released version 6 of their notation program, Dorico Pro.

 

Steinberg will automatically provide the new version at no charge to anyone who redeemed their Dorico Pro 5 Download Access Code* (or DAC) on or after March 26, 2025.

  • View your new license within your Steinberg Activation Manager.
    • In some cases, a Dorico Pro 5 DAC may not immediately show the Dorico Pro 6 license, and you may need to close and relaunch the Steinberg Download Assistant to see Dorico Pro 6 listed under your products.
  • Download the installer using the Steinberg Download Assistant.

 

If you redeemed your DAC before March 26, 2025, updates from version 5 to 6 are available for purchase directly from Steinberg. 

 

Additionally, Dorico Pro 5 will remain eligible for technical support from Steinberg.

*If you purchased a Finale-to-Dorico Crossgrade from MakeMusic, you can find your Dorico Pro DAC on your MakeMusic account page and must redeem it within the Steinberg Download Assistant.
