We are aware of an issue with the in-app Authorization Wizard in Finale v27 (and possibly other versions) on macOS 26 (Tahoe), where the Next button does not respond to a mouse click. This is a symptom of incompatibility between Finale and Tahoe.
While Finale isn't fully compatible with Tahoe, thankfully, you can work around this problem by pressing the RETURN key instead of clicking Next.
The latest version of macOS considered officially compatible with Finale v27 is macOS 14, meaning Finale may exhibit unexpected behavior when installing, authorizing, or using Finale on later versions of macOS.
Additionally, MakeMusic announced the end of Finale development in August 2024, meaning we won't be releasing any updates to address this or any other compatibility issues on Tahoe or subsequent operating systems.
For the best possible performance, it's recommended that you install and authorize Finale on a supported operating system, either by maintaining a second machine with a compatible OS or by using more than one version of macOS on your Mac.
