Hello,
I am working on scores in which I use chords in Italian mode (a modern solfeggio Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si) and for this I select the alternative font MusicChordSpanish which allows me to have the Chords in style I need, it's an Arial style modified font.
The problem is that when I insert Bb/D (which translated must be Sib/Re) the characters are superimposed as in the screenshot that I attach.
Are there any updated versions of the font?
For several years I have been asking the team to include this default chord style in Finale's choices. The software provides the Solfeggio mode but it is unusual and not the one used by many users who needs the modern solfeggio chords used in many scores and dedicated song books.

The modern use is Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol (not So), La, Si (not Ti).

I want submit you that Dorico and Sibelius allows this in the preferences.

If Finale include this mode in default choices we could choose also different fonts than Arial or TimesNewRoman or Jazz as offered for English language.
In the meantime, I submit this help request for corrupted font and renew the style request.

Thanks to anyone that try to support me

If you have not already done so, I think this is something worth submitting to Finale directly via the "Submit a request" link at the top of the page.

In the meantime, you should be able to create the chord (for playback) and hide it. Then use an expression in the appropriate font to show what you want. (But still, contact Finale Support to show them what you need.)

Tommaso, I just added to my post above and hope that will be useful while you wait for Finale to upgrade its chord tool.

Tommaso Scarabino,

You mention the font MusicChordsSpanish.

You have not tried the FC font?

At least for me the characters are not superimposed when I use the FC font.

I confirm what Peter said. No collision with the FC font (FC = French Chords). The only difference is that Ré has an accent.

If you find a font editor, you might fix that and change Ré into Re.

FC is available here : FC.ttf

Hi,

thanks for your precious support, i will follow the advice.
In the meantime I made a new post requesting a Modern Solfeggio style to be inserted in the predefined Finale ones so that everything can be more immediate and above all to be able to choose fonts that offer a different view from a common Arial or Times, so as possible for international symbols style.
If you like, I invite you to support the post I added here: https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/10066705510167-Modern-Solfeggio-Chord-Symbols-as-part-of-styles-in-Finale-for-European-teaching-engraving

Again thanks for your precious support, I hope that complicated workaround left the step to native possibilities in Finale.

Best
