I am struggling to resolve several how-tos with Songwriter, even after trying to follow the instructions in the manual. I wonder if there's someone out there who would be willing to give me a call and help walk me through how to resolve the issues. I'm in central time zone with fairly flexible schedule and use computers with Windows 10.

Specific issues include: rest palette disappeared and unable to restore, lyrics locked up so won't even highlight (but each word has a little box beside it, after using the selection tool), issues with hyphens, how to get specific words of the lyrics to type in italics, lyric positioning).

My first suggestion is to refresh the preferences. The instructions here are for the full finale, but the songwriter procedure should be the same.

My second suggestion would be to consider upgrading to something newer. There is a very generous upgrade price.

Send it to wawoodman at aol dot com. Replace the ‘at’ with @ and the ‘dot’ with a . (period) No spaces.
