Two issues with playback  
1. Playback starts in measure 1 rather than in measure clicked
- Select Speedy Entry tool
- Click in a measure other than measure 1 to select it.
- Spacebar + click in selected measure to start playback.  
- Playback starts in measure 1 rather than at the beginning of the measure clicked in.

This is quite troublesome when working with a large score.

2. Once started, playback does not stop when the score is clicked.  Sometimes it will stop after several clicks.  Sometimes it does not stop until the end of the piece, even after as many as 30 clicks.

Using PrintMusic 2014a.v855 on Windows 10 version 1607 (OS build 14393.479) 

I would attach the Finale file but I don't see that option in the Edit Post dialog.

Hi Chad,

Thanks for looking at this.  I'm using a Windows Surface Book with a wireless mouse; when the mouse is on, the touchpad is disabled.  Tried turning off the mouse so that the touchpad is enabled.  Still seeing the same behaviors.

My PrintMusic 2007 is not playing back.  I click on the play icon and get nothing.

What platform?

 

Do you see the cursor moving? Has it worked in the past? How are you starting and stopping playback? 

 

Is this in all documents? Do you have sound in other programs? Do you hear sound when entering notes?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for getting back to me.  I'm using PrintMusic 2007 on Windows 10.  No problems in the past; last used about a month ago.  Cursor is not moving; using the play button on the playback control panel; problem is in all documents; I have sound in other programs; and no sound entering notes.
