I use Mac Sierra 10.12.2.

I was having trouble getting temple blocs to play back multiple pitch levels. I read that the problem and been corrected din Finale 25 so I downloaded 25. Now Finale 2014.5 won't playback. I can't get new files in Finale 25 to playback. If I create  file in 2014.5 with midi get some playback.

Every version of Finale gets more complicated and less functional. You folks ought to consider talking to people who don;t write code for living. After more than 20 years with Finale I'm hoping Dorico gets up to speed.

True. This is ridiculous. Temple blocks customarily have 5 different "pitches."

If you have Garritan World Instruments, you can change the Percussion Layout to add the other 4 blocks, but if one does not have GWI....

I still cannot get the aria player to work and installing Version 25 somehow disconnects 2014. from Aria player.

When I tried to work with it and simply ignore teh absence of playback the Temple blocks won't let me add second layer. With Temple blocks, as log as it's not to complicated there is no reason a player can't play a pattern in the left hand on a lower block and add a short flourish in the right hand on a higher block. When I add the left hand in layer two it appears, but layer one disappears.

When you installed Finale 25, did you also (re)install the Aria files?

GIfF (Garritan Instruments for Finale) includes 5 temple block sounds. Once you reconnect with Aria, you need to open (or create) a percussion layout and call up the GIfF Temple Blocks Map and then assign the various sounds to different staff positions. There should be no problem using multiple layers with the Temple Blocks.

If you can't, then either you are suffering from a faulty installation of Finale 25 or you are doing something wrong.

When you install 25, there's a second installer for the current version of Garritan and the Aria player. It is confusing and many close this window not knowing that they have to run this second installer. It's very poorly designed.

Waiting for Dorico to be more than a hobby tool for amateur engravers? You may have to wait a very, very long time. I don't see it as a useful music production tool for years, if ever. Yes it looks nice but so time consuming to get anything done—what little it can do.

The question is not whether or not you are doing something wrong. You are. Have you updated to 25.2? That solved some playback issues

'Unfortunately, you have to figure it out with the current state of MM support. Good luck with that. Hopefully one of the suggestions made already will help.
