Hi. Using Finale 25.2.0.79, the latest update. I cannot load libraries that I myself created. No matter where I place them, even in the Finale libraries folder, they are greyed out. I have to go to 2014.5 to load them.

Anyone else have this problem? Workaround? Solution?

Thank you!

Using Sierra 10.12.2

It's my guess that the problem is that Finale 25 is a 64 bit application, and if you created these libraries on a previous version, they will not be compatible. They were created on a 32bit Finale version.

You've found the workaround - import the libraries using 2014.5 (32 bit). Now might be the time to resave those libraries using Finale 25.

In my experience, the culprit is that v25 requires the .lib file name extension on libraries.

Just add the .lib file name extension to your custom library’s name, and then try loading your library into a Finale v25 document.

Thank you, Peter, that worked! Now if I could just figure out why my slurs are too far away from the note heads when the options say they're where they should be! Thanks again.
