I downloaded the demo and installed it, supplying all of my required info.  a prompt is asking me for my serial number.  I went to finale.com,  logged in and there is no place where I see a serial number or authorization code for the demo I just downloaded.  Apparently, I am not able to proceed without it?  Anybody have the solution?  Mac OS X   10.12.3

If you've purchased a Finale product previously, you received a serial number which is good for all future purchases/demos. Your account should show any previous purchases and list the serial there. Did you click the button "What is my Serial Number"?

Hi Hollye,

 

Bruce is on the right track. It looks like you are utilizing the free trial only at this point, which means you have 30 days to authorize the product before saving and printing is disabled. You will not have a serial number until after the purchase of Finale, so that prompt to authorize you see when you launch the application is just a reminder of the number of remaining days in the trial. During the trial, you can just click the Remind Me Later button to continue with the trial (as depicted below):
