I'm trying to get finale and logic to communicate via rewire and am having a lot of issues...first how do I get Finale into Rewire mode?
Assuming that you have Finale 25 and Mac OS, start here:
https://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/FinaleMac/Content/Finale/ReWire.htm
There should be documentation that covers Studio One and Sonar with ReWire from PreSonus and Cakewalk. PreSonus has tech support plus a user support board similar to this one—it's been helpful as I learned to navigate Notion 6. I don't know what resources are available from Cakewalk now that Gibson has abandoned ship.
In addition, there are troubleshooting tips at the link below:
WARNING! Because Finale is acting as an audio device, most playback issues will need to be troubleshot through the DAW's manufacturer. Visit the Finale Knowledge Base to find common ReWire troubleshooting steps.
Since you haven't told us your platform or OS, I've assumed Mac. I don't know if it's much different for Windows but here's the link:
https://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/FinaleWin/Content/Finale/ReWire.htm
Plus there's tech support from MakeMusic. Use the Submit a request link at the top of the page.
My OS is High Sierra and I'm on a late 2015 imac.
I've managed to get the rewire to work on my laptop but not with my desktop imac...all the same software...(latest updates) and same OS. The question I keep having is why will it work for the laptop and not my desktop machine? Again...the issue is that I don't see the Finale RW in the input channel within Logic on the desktop machine...any ideas on why?
