Since 2014 is still supported, you should use the Submit a request link at the top of the page.

In the mean time, check to see if this is a Finale issue at all: Does your Mac see your keyboard? Its icon should light up in AudioMidi Setup.app (found in your Applications/Utilities folder)? If not, do you have drivers that need updating or does it use the Apple CoreMIDI drivers through USB?

I had a recent experience where my MIDI keyboard wasn't showing in AMS but I knew the connections were good. I deleted the profile for the device and it immediately created a new one that worked properly. Weird but problem solved.

If you mean "Speedy Entry," I believe it only works if the keyboard has the number keypad attached.

It doesn't work on my laptop keyboard, so I have to use a separate USB keyboard when I'm entering notes using that method (or switch to a desktop machine with the full keyboard attached, not the short wireless one.)

My Mac recognizes my USB keyboard.Yes I meant Speedy Entry :-) and I know to have my caps lock key down and my keyboard does have a numbers pad.  

And- I just now reopened the program and now it's working!! I did not restart my computer. When I had the problem I had JUST opened the program.  aargghh :-(.  Ever since MAC upgraded its OS, Finale has been buggy.  I actually find 2014 buggier than 2011, except you can no longer do playback in 2011 without it crashing :-( . Still, with all the bugs, I use 2011 more often.  Thanks for thoughts from both of you!

I have been having a lot of problems with finale too. I have confirmed that for me it is the program, not the computer. My finale lags, it doesn't recognize some clicks in the program. The playback crashes for me now. The sounds sometimes play different sounds and are wrong and out of tune. I am restricted from saving my documents so I have to restart my computer, I then lose my progress on projects. It's a hell hole with 2014.5. I hear version 25 has solved a lot of these bugs. If you want to you can upgrade and see if it is any better ;-)

2014.5 has a few issues in Sierra but not that many. You should really use the Submit a Request link and see if Tech Support can help you. 

If if you're not running Sierra, time to start. Besides the latest security upgrades, many Finale users report that Finale 2014.5 runs better — myself included. 25 is pretty good as well unless you need the Movie window.
