Hey guys,  I'm having trouble enlarging Chords without the suffixes being jumbled and unreadable.  Any solutions?

If I understand you correctly, the problem is isolated to the chord suffixes, right?

Two ideas:

1) This idea is time consuming, but you only have to do it once:

Create a new chord suffix collection that uses a bigger font size.

You can save your suffixes as a library, and you can load your library into your template(s) for new documents.

2) This idea is simpler, but the solution is document specific.

You have to do it again in each and every document:

Add an extra staff that only displays chord symbols - nothing else.

With the Resize Tool you can resize this “chord staff” as needed.

The chord symbols will be resized with the staff.

I also have this trouble with chords.  When using Arial font, I don't have an option to use "m" for "minor" chords.  Then when I enlarge the chord the "min" becomes jumbled and hard to read.  What if it's a longer chord suffix?  Yikes.

I looked at idea #2 above, but didn't find instructions.  Is there a file to download?

Arial is not one of the MakeMusic fonts for Finale. You can create the chord suffixes that you need in the full version of Finale but do you really want to spend the time? Instead, try one of the fonts where that has been done for you. Here's a quick overview:

More detailed instructions are in the online Help files.

Barbara Peterson, are you an experienced Finale user?

Try the Staff Tool.

Double-click the staff to open the Staff Attributes.

In the pane {Items to Display} you can de-select items that should not display - clefs, key signatures, time signatures &c.

To get rid of the (left) barlines, move the barlines vertically into the neighbour staff.

This is done in the dialog box Staff Setup.
