I am using the latest Finale and the latest Mac operating system with my Mac mini.  I am writing for a 17 piece big jazz band, keeping everything in non transposed status until finished.

I have recently encountered a problem with the midi tuning. ( I am using the standard midi that is onboard the Mac Mini.)  After working with it a short while, the sound on various tracks will play out of tune.  I have to quit and restart the program and it comes up correct, then goes out again.  I have been using this same setup every day for four years, upgrading when necessary, and this is a recent(in the last month) problem.

This is a known issue, hence a wild guess:

Are there any glissandi in the document?

Yes, there are glissando 's up to a note and falls from a note.

Then those are probably the culprit.

Somehow the pitchwheel is not back to zero.

As a test (not a solution) you could make a duplicate copy of the document, in that duplicate copy remove all the pitchwheel effects, and check whether the problem has gone away.
