Mac Sierra (10.12.5)

How can I copy text blocks from one document to another,  including all properties such as typeface, source reference (e,g, document title)? Is there a simple drag?

I could be wrong here, but I suppose that you also need to copy the text block’s positioning (Vertically and Horizontally) to the other document, right?

As Far As I Know, you can not copy the text block’s positioning to the other document.

You can copy the text block’s contents, then create a new text block in the other document, and paste the contents into the new text block.

Finally, give the new text block the same positioning settings as in the first document.

To examine/edit the positioning settings, drag-select the text block’s handle, and hit Shift-Return (or Shift-Command-T).

The dialog box Frame Attributes appears.

Edit/Select All Copy, then Paste.

The blank document needs to have identical properties as the original for the to to look the same.
