...gives the following message when launched "Your Finale.instruments file is missing or corrupt. Please re-install it"
Mac OS 10.12.5
Updateting from Finale 25.2.0.79
When re-installing Garritan instruments problems still there: "Your Finale.instruments file is missing or corrupt. Please re-install it"
1:st I tried the update from Finale. Then from a download. Same problem.
Then I uploaded the whole program (aprox. 3 GB) and installed the Garritan instruments
I will try to re-install the entire program BUT first I need to uninstall 25.2... and all of its components, wherever they are hiding in the system. This to avoid old data taken up space and maybe causing problems in the future...
Somewhere I saw a description of all this - will try to find it again...
Thanks for your quick respons.
Best regards Anders Eljas//
No. You do not need to purge the older installation. Finale 25.3 will overwrite 25.2 as long as a) the older version is named Finale and b) you installed in the default location. Make certain to run both installers in the download file, of course.
If you changed the name of 25.2 to anything other than simply "Finale", change it back.
