I have Windows 10, and Finale 2012.  I have a jazz score that includes trombone, vibraphone, bass and drums.  When I hit playback, only the trombone plays.

Step 1: try MIDI/Audio Menu > Reassign Playback Sounds.

I have a new Mac Book and transferred files. The sound on the new Mac is working but not with Finale. I'm sure there is something I have not done correctly. Could you please help. THANKS.

Not nearly enough info but let's start here: When you installed Finale, you downloaded an installer file from your User Account. Did you run both installers? Many don't, seeing the second and think, I did that already. The second one installs Aria, Garritan and sets your paths.

 

If that isn't it, you need to tell us a lot more.

Check the Mixer, make sure nothing is Muted.
