My operating system is windows 10

I purchased and installed finale 2011, in 2011, and it worked great.  I got a new computer a few years ago and had all the files and programs from my old computer copied onto my new computer.

Some time back when I tried to use finale it wouldn't work.  It my have needed to be reauthorized.  today when went to look at my finale program in order to try and solve the problem it seems to no longer be on my computer?  There are finale files of songs and lesson plans that I created some time ago but they won't open.

Any suggestions?

If it's not on your computer, the files won't open. I don't remember if 2011 was a download, or on media. If it was a download, you should be able to get it from your account.

If it was on media, better start looking for your old CD.

Was this the first time you have tried to use Finale 2011 since you switched computers?

Programs cannot simple be "copied" from one Windows computer to another; installation is more complicated than that.

Unless you have updated that license, 2011 should still have a download link. If upgraded, it won't (I see that I can still download Notepad 2000).

Log into your User account at makemusic.com. You should see your 2011 license and a download link. There's another button for managing your authorizations. If you can't see those, use the Submit a request link at the top of the main page to contact MM directly.
