When I try to import music from .tiff files, I get no content. I receive a message that states that "the string index is out of range." Any idea what I am doing wrong?
It's likely that these TIFF files were saved using the so-called "LZW Compression". Finale can't deal with such a file.
If you use a Macintosh, open the TIFF in Preview and resave as a TIFF file. Preview won't add the LZW so the file should be accepted. If you use Windows, I don't know. If you have a PDF application like Cute PDF, maybe you can open and manipulate TIFF files also. A Google search might point you in the right direction as well.
