Dear Jadrian,

You asked about my experience with Finale, almost  25 years.  I don't handle "change" very well.  Believe it or not, I wrote 3 books (that were published) using Windows Vista and Finale 2007.  Talk about being a veteran using Finale.

I presently still have windows 2007, but I use a HP desk top with Windows 7.

Congratulations on your long-time association and support of Finale. I am afraid that no level of expertise with Finale 2007 will make up for lack of features added since then. Perhaps handling measure numbers (putting them below the staff) would have been handled in the Staff Tool instead of the Measure Tool. I just cannot recall what 2007 looked like.

(You can, incidentally, add your OS and version of Finale to your posting signature by editing your Profile accessible through the pull-down behind your name in the gray stripe at the top of the screen. Although many fields of the profile are preassigned, there is an Information box that you can fill in with relevant information. That will speed people's help to you when you have future questions.)

I think I still have my Finale 2007 CD somewhere. Being nearly 11 years old, I quite forgot what OS it was designed for. Though I have both a Mac and a PC I could install it on, I doubt that I ever will look at it again.

Finale 2007 System Requirements: Apple MacOS X 10.3.9 or later, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP
