Always nice to see a finale upgrade, however my issue with text blocks & editing does not appear to have been corrected.  I'm running Mac Pro OS 10.11.6.  Recently something within Finale has changed (I have not changed my OS).  This may mean that I inadvertently changed something in preferences or whatever, but the text block now splits into 2, one is the actual text block and the other is some kind of odd text editing window.  Difficult almost impossible to work with.  If I need to change (edit) a block that I have previously created it is even more difficult.  Does anyone (hey! Make music, are you there?) know what the problem may be in this case.  It is making scoring an obstacle course rather than the creative project I am used to with Finale.  My looming deadline is scary indeed when I'm always trying to solve software issues, not musical ones.  Please help.  I can't help but remark that having spent many hundreds of dollars on Finale over the years, it is shocking and disappointing that it is now apparently not possible to contact the company who took my dough.  We need you!

Can't say. I haven't see 25.3 yet.

Ah-- now I have.

John Mills-Cockell,

Let us be scientific:

Can you provide exact steps to reproduce the problem?

Like e. g. “Begin with a “Document Without Libraries. …”

I have seen a similar thing happen when using "fixed" point sizes for text in a text box. If you're using fixed sizes you might try changing a text box to non fixed to see if that makes a difference.

If you were hoping to get a response from someone at MakeMusic about your issue, you may try submitting a request by clicking the "Submit a request" link next to your profile on the top right of the screen (if you haven't already). I've done that before and have gotten help quite promptly.
