Sure. The leftmost triangle will move that verse in every system. The second from the right will move it in that system only. (Note that only the full Finale has four triangles. SongWriter and PrintMusic have only two, with the same functions: staff and global.)

If you need to space the staves further apart, use the staff tool.

Please add the program and version you are using to your signature, in the user control panel.

I have Songwriter 2012.  I cannot figure out how to get the positioning triangles to appear so I can increase the space between verses of lyrics.  They seemed to show up fine in Songwriter 2010.  The manual says only that "several tools" have positioning arrows, but does not say which tools or how to make the arrows appear.  Please help; there seems to be no way to contact the company for help!

Without seeing the file, I can’t be sure what the problem is. But, double-clicking on a lyric (with the selection tool) should bring it up. If that doesn’t work, please let us know!
