I have had Finale for two years, on one computer, and want to activate it on a second computer. However, I ran into some issues because my version of Finale because it told me it could not authorize my serial number. I have Finale 2014.5, possibly this is the issue? How can I activate the second computer? Thanks

Assuming that it is Finale and not PrintMusic, log into your MM User account. Click on Manage Authorizations to see if you already have two — you can deauthorize an old one if that's the case.

 

Otherwise, the Finale license server needs to see your info exactly as entered in your User account. Copy and paste is recommended to prevent such things as minus signs instead of dashes, O instead of zero and the like. Firewalls and VPNs can also prevent proper communication with that server and present similar errors.

Usted obtiene un número de serie comprando Finale, no solicitando uno.

 No, not unless you purchased it in the past. If you did, then you can find it at the Finale website > My Account > My Software.

The last version of the old updaters are generally available including the 2012c Updates for Mac and Win. If you have your 2012 CD, this is all you need.

This is also correct. 2012 was the first version of Finale made available for download. The full version download is available only through your User Account. If you've upgraded the license, you'll see that you can click on a link to access Older Versions.

 

I don't know for certain that downloading through your Users Account gets you the full version of 2012c or if you have to also download the updater from my link at the top. I skipped 2012.

 

(except for NotePad) Finale 2011 and earlier are not available for download—they never were. If you have your CD, the latest updaters are still available at the first link.
