I have purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and am in possession of Finale 2001 which I had installed on an older system running Windows 7. Is it possible to upgrade from 2001 to Finale 25?

Yes. Will they honor the upgrade price, from so long ago? I don't know. Log into your account, and see what happens.

 

In any case, expect some issues in opening 2001 files with the new program.

...not to mention something of a learning curve, if only to find out where various commands (or expressions) have been moved to, percussion handling, and the score manager.

 

Still, I'd rather be using Finale v25 than still be on Finale 2001; among other things, the VST sounds are much better.

Log into your MakeMusic account and see if the upgrade path is available to you. The Chrome browser has had issues with upgrades so use something else.

 

If the upgrade path is not available, contact MM Sales/Marketing. You can do this through the Submit a request link at the top of the page.
