Finale 2007

I have not found a way to create such flageolet notes (for violin, viola and cello) which play 2 octaves higher than written.  These flageolets can be  WRITTEN (graficly) so that undernote is normal and a notehed above that is a quart higher and in an open squere form (as provided both in "special tools" and "accidentals").  But how to get Finale to play it back so that such a "doublenote" plays 2 octaves higher than the undernote (as it happens in a instrument)?

Today Finale 2007 is a quite old version (was released in summer 2006).

Have you considered an upgrade?

In my own copy of Finale v25 I have a plug-in:

Plug-ins menu > TG Tools > Easy Harmonics…

However, I am not sure whether the plug-in was included with Finale 2007.

Hello there,

The TG Tools plug-in of course is quite O.K. For incidental production I would think of notating both the fundamental note and the pitch of the flageolet and then assign a very low velocity to the fundamental note and the wanted velocity to the harmonic.

Hope this helps,

Klaas de Jong.

Hello again,

While searching for midi note assignment in general a thought came about: why not use an expression?

Works too! Use transposition for playback.

Well, I'm curious whether Pekka Paakkaanen thinks his (or her) play back problem is solved now...

Klaas de Jong.
