When working with a marching band score and entering notation for bells or glockenspiel,

the notes appear yellow and do not play back. There should be no transpostion for bells, so why is this happening?

I've tried MIDI keyboard and Simple and Speedy Entry.

Are you sure that there “should be no transposition”?

If I Recall Correctly, the Glockenspiel is not notated in its sounding octave (= is octave transposing).

 

How did you set up the staff?

Did you use the Document Setup Wizard?

I used the Wizard but added the Glock later.

Glocks typically sound two octaves higher than written. So if you are notating in Concert Pitch, you will need a lot of ledger lines.
