I found a neat sound and recorded on my phone. It would be a neat percussive sound and I was wondering if I could somehow put it into finale.
I’m using Finale v25 on Windows 10
If you want to simply add the file, yes. The Help files have that.
if you want to manipulate the file, not really except at the most basic level (start-stop). You want a sampler and/or a DAW for that. A DAW lets you chop the sound into audio clips. A sampler lets you turn it into an instrument that you can call up in Finale. There are also hardware samplers that let you play the individual parts of the sample as notes.
