I just installed the program, and the playback are not working. Also, there is no instrument sound after I put the notes down, instead, there is a pop-up box say "The request virtual instrument plugin could not be found"

Did you install the sounds? That is a separate part of the installation sequence.

Could you show us an screen shot of your Score Manager and one of your MIDI/Audio > Sound Map Priority panel?

Also check that your MIDI/Audio >Device Setup > Audio Setup is set to DirectSound.

I think I installed everything I supposed to. Also, there's an instrument midi sound now after I tried to go to MIDI Setup and change the MIDI Out. My only problem at this moment is the playback is still not working. Here is my screen shot of the Sound Map Priority

First, I would try MIDI/Audio > Reassign Playback Sounds.

 

I would still like to see what your Windows > Score Manager window looks like.
