I am having trouble toggling from one application and back to Finale (v25.3) using the "command - Tab" short cut. If I'm working on a score and toggle to something else, say iTunes, and try to toggle back to Finale, all I see is palettes and the score is gone. When I click on the screen, I'm sent to Finder as if the score / screen isn't there.
If I try to close Finale, the score suddenly returns when I receive the "do you want to save" prompt.
Finale 25.3 on Sierra 10.12.5
I have exactly the same setup as you do, except my OS is 10.12.3. I don't have the problem, flipping between iTunes and Finale 25.3 or any other combination. Is this something new for you, or has it always been like this?
As a first troubleshooting step, shut down the computer and restart. Any difference?
This is new. Today is my first foray into Finale 25 after having used Finale 2012 daily for the last 5 years.
I have found that it only occurs when the other app (be in iTunes or Safari or anything else) is minimized to a smaller window. For example, if I have Safari maximized to fill the screen and toggle, no problems. However, if I minimize Safari to view while trying to work on something else, I cannot successfully toggle to Finale. The same holds true for the other things I have tried. Bummer.
