I have an Quad Core iMac with 24gb of ram running the latest version of Sierra. I'm using Finale 25.3 and use Logic Pro X 10.3.
A project that I've been working on is for full marching band with a few instrument changes for the winds. And a ton of instrument
changes for the front ensemble. The wind parts right now are Garritan, and all of the percussion is using the URL version of VDL 2.5.
Everything works as it sets with the winds using Aria Player and the percussion using Kontakt. I've been trying to use some higher end
sample libraries for the winds. My problem is, if I stick with Finale for playback and change all the winds to kontakt 5, everything loads
up and switches over just fine. But whenever I try to play the score, the sound gets stuck and won't shut off without hitting the panic button
on Kontakt. I also tried to export the score as an XML file and import it into LogicPro but you loose all of the Tapspace mappings and also all of
the instrument layers and changes. I also tried to export the score as a MIDI file to import into Logic Pro and you get all of the layers and midi
mapping for the percussion but loose the starting tempo information and the score order gets mixed up and you have random missing parts.
I have Kontakt, Play, Engine, and VSL sample, libraries that I would like to use with my score for a higher quality audio file. Any advise as to
how I can get any one of my tried solutions would be much appreciated. I thought that now that Finale was 64bit, I would be able to use my
higher end libraries. I have no problem transferring my score into a DAW as long I can get all of the sounds, tempos, and articulations to work.
