I let the Geek Squad 'fix' my computer. In doing so they screwed up ARIA. Each time I try playing a song I get the msg: "Can't find Install Directory. Please reinstall." I am using Finale 2014.5 - original release - no manual updates. How do I reinstall the directory or... if I need to, reinstall ARIA without corrupting the rest of Finale? I have it installed it on a second PC. Is this something I can just copy over from the other PC or does it need an 'install' procedure?

Reinstalling Finale will not corrupt it. Download 2014 from your MakeMusic account and run both installers. This should re-establish your paths which normally fixes the problem.

I DON'T want the latest updates. There were changes to it that I don't want. As I recall one of them is a less natural (and clumsy) way to set and change the tempo. Can I get the original version of 2014.5 ?

There is only one version of 2014.5. Technically, it is the last update to 2014 so that's how it will appear in your MM User account.

 

Follow the instructions I gave and you should be ok.
