I too have been a long standing customer since Windows XP and OS9 days. I just upgraded to v25 today from v2014.5. There is a special promo code that "should" have been sent to all long users. If you didn't receive the code, I would contact MakeMusic. Once you have selected the upgrade there is a point where you can enter the code and the price drops from $149 to $99. I just did it a few minutes ago so I can confirm. I believe the code is good for the next few days. I am in the U.S., however, so perhaps this promo code is not available in your area (which seems silly to me on MakeMusic's part if that is indeed true). Best of luck.

I suggest you email them again. Remember, today is a holiday in the states, so I wouldn't expect a reply for a day or so.

And, just my opinion, but a misunderstanding over $50 is a pretty lame reason to threaten going to another program.

Sometimes, Finale upgrades work better if a browser other than Chrome is used. If there's a link in the email, paste it into another browser. If there's a discount code, make sure that is entered.

Thank you for posting; I realize that this has been a frustrating process for you, so I wanted to make sure -- were you able to enter the promotional code at checkout, or did you run into errors there as well? The MakeMusic store posted a Facebook link today with the July discount code. They made a mistake, however. If you remove the space from FIREWORKS 17, it works: FIREWORKS17.  The end date is cut off so I do not know when it expires.

I wonder how many posts we will get on this?

(I own multiple Finale licenses so I was able to test this a few minutes ago.)

Looks like Facebook is also presenting the sponsored post in their "right hand column" -- I'll remove that option so that no one sees the offer without knowing when it expires.
