MacBook Pro laptop running Mac OSX 10.9.5.

Using my laptop keyboard, I can't figure out how to navigate from page to page horizontally without the pages also moving up with more and more of the top of the score being obscured. I even purchased a Belkin YourType Wireless Keypad, which has the home, end, page up, page down, and delete-to-the-right keys in addition to F13–F16 and a standard numeric keypad. When I try the standard Command+page up or Command+page down keyboard shortcuts that work on my external keyboard, all that does is move the same pages up and down, with the modifier keys apparently having no effect. And when I use just the laptop keyboard using he fn+right arrow or left arrow, it doesn't move cleanly from page to page and also moves the pages up in the window as if I were pressing Page Down. This is driving me crazy. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks so much!

If you're still in the entering notes stage, try scroll view. I never go to page view until I'm done with entry, and finally getting to page formatting.

On my new-ish Mac laptop, it's fn-cmd-up or down arrow. Don't forget the function key.

I find it a pain that it is left hand only, because this combination requires two hands, even with my ginormous grizzly bear paws, and requires me to take a hand off my MIDI keyboard or mouse.

Thanks Mike and Christopher.

Mike, thanks for your reply. I'm actually editing an existing score and need to remain in Page View for that process. But it's a good reminder in general for determine when it's best to move from Scroll view to Page View.

Christopher: That did it! Thanks so much! It seems that I tried every other permutation of keys except for that. :-) I also couldn't find it anywhere in the Finale online User Manual. I'm sure it's somewhere, but it escaped me. If you know where to find that key combo, I'd love to know because there might be some other shortcut key combinations that I would find useful.

Thanks to you both for responding!

In the future, if there is a key combination that uses a numpad key from a full-sized keyboard, you can usually hit the equivalent key on a laptop with the function key depressed and get the same thing.

The ONE combination that is missing, however, is fn-delete to replace the Clear key. It's an obvious choice, but Apple or MakeMusic missed it. On my old laptop, I had a keyboard remapping app that put it in, but I haven't found a Sierra version that I like yet.

The remapping app to emulate missing numpad keys is in my case Quickeys. Unfortunately this app is discontinued and that is one of the main reasons why I got stucked to Mac OS X 10.10.5
