As I edit files created by previous version of finale (going back 4 years) using the current version (MAC).

I go to the document options and set repeats to a staff list in which I give 3 staves "F" for the score and all staves "F" for the parts.

Then repeat marks show up in EVERY staff. If I create a new repeat and use the staff list, the repeat marks show up on EVERY staff. No matter what I do, repeats show up on every staff in the score.

The only solution I have found is to create a new file, recreate all the staves, and copy and paste. Is there a simpler way to get the file to honor the staff list?

I am unable to duplicate the problem in my own copy of Finale 25.4 (using a fresh, new document - not a 4 years old document).

The repeats show up in all the linked parts, but in the score the repeats only show on the 3 designated staves.

 

I suspect that the culprit is some sort of file corruption.

I have this problem in about a dozen files I created over the past few years and am reediting. Not all the files have this problem but a lot do. I have had to rebuild (as I described above) to get around it (which is a Major Payne).
