This is not a biggie but why is the default action when creating a New file from a template to begin with an empty File info table?

Surely if you have gone to the trouble of creating a template it is natural to assume that the Arranger, Copyright info etc will (certainly in my case) be fairly constant.

It is easy to cancel this popup and retain the template details, but is there a good reason for this behaviour? it seems illogical to me, I am happy to be enlightened though if you know why this occurs.

If you want the same composer, etc. to appear, replace the token text for those fields on your page with regular text in your template.

Thanks J that would do it, I think the way I work Mikes suggestion is the way forward for me, thank you both for your comments. Much appreciated. I am loving the Mac, The way the Finale program is presented is so much more pleasing. My PC has two monitors which I thought I would miss but so far there feels no limitation to accessing the various windows I leave open.
