While composing in the scroll view (not the page view of a partiture), I don't wanna see all systems. With more than 20 systems you can not oversee all of them on the screen without scrolling. To spot just some important systems, I want to hide the other ones.

Can I easily hide some systems? The check box "hide system" in the attributes just works in the page view.

In DAWs like Pro Tools this would be a deactivation (and blind out) of these systems.

Does something like this also exist in Finale?

Welcome to the forum!

Just to make things clear - about “Finalespeak”:

A system is one line of simultaneously playing staves.

In a 4-staff document (e. g. a string quartet) each system displays 4 staves.

You can typically have 3 such systems on a page.

There are never ever any systems in Scroll View.

Systems are “Page View only”.

Perhaps you by your word “system” mean “staff”?

When you are in Scroll View, you can program a Staff Set of as many / as few staves as you need.

To do so, switch to the Staff Tool, select the desired staves, hold down Alt, and use the View menu.

Actually, the scroll view shows the piece as one system extended (which may be what JAV meant.) But in any case, the solution is, as he said, staff sets.
