I am creating a new document to put in the Document Styles folder to improve my workflow. I am starting from scratch with a New Document Without Libraries. When it comes to Page Format, I set the Page Format for Score and Parts to the settings I want: Staff Height 4 spaces, Scale System 100%, Distance Between Systems 8 spaces, First Staff System Distance from Top 24 spaces.) If I were to stop there, things seem to work. When I add measures to the file (to add relevant text boxes to page two), whether by option-clicking the measure tool or choosing Edit > Add Measures…, I save the file, and I try to create a new file using that document style. The new file opens with the following settings in Page Format for Score: Staff Height 3.96094 spaces, Scale System 99%, Distance Between Systems 0 spaces, First Staff System Distance from Top 24 spaces. It also does not apply the 24 spaces on the First Staff System even though the option is checked in the Page Format for Score dialog box. I notice that the files that ship with Finale in the Document Styles folder have more than one measure. So how can I get more than one measure in my file with no libraries but have it apply my saved page format settings when I create a new document using that document style?
MacOS 12.6.2
Finale 27.3
