Dear All

I worked on a critical edition for half a year. Of course each sign has to be placed accurately. As I printed the exported PDF files I was horrified that the "cres - - cen - - do" "di - mi - nu - en - do" marks - which I created in text tool - were shorter or longer than in the original musx file. Each sign would have to correct individually without the possibility of preview. It is impossible. What should I do? The image of the musx is correct but the pdf is not, neither on the screen nor on the printed paper.

I have already made some scores for publication but I had never such a problem. Win 10, Finale 2014.

Since customer service strangely no longer deals with "legacy versions", I am forced to turn to the community.

Many thanks in advance.

István

Does the PDF have access to the same fonts (sizes and styles) as your screen does?

Not nearly enough information to begin guessing. Please read the following and provide us what we need to know to help you. Your OS and version of Finale each make a huge difference.

Uh yea… It is quite possible that an update to the current version of Finale may be what you need as pdf has improved. Again, we won’t know with the info that you have given us.
