1) The fingerings are document specific, not program specific.

Perhaps the fingerings have not (yet) been added to that particular Finale document?

Anyway, have you tried scrolling down in the Articulation Selection, all the way to the bottom?

If you can not find the articulations, not even if you scroll down, then you may have to add them, e. g. by loading a library.

2) Even if the fingerings are there, they may not yet have programmed metatools.

In that case you will have to program the metatools yourself:

a. You must be in the relevant tool (in this case the Articulation Tool).

b. Hold down the Shift key, and hit the key you want to program as trigger key (e. g. the number 1 key).

Finale will display the Articulation Selection where you can choose an articulation (e. g. the finger number 1).

From now on, every time you open the Articulation Selection, the finger number 1 will display its trigger key ‘1’ in the upper right corner.

I now have Finale 27, have used the musicxml 4.0 and see that the fingerings are still not attached individual to a note.  Is that correct?  They are still programmed to be a placement on the paper and not to a specific note?  Is there a way for me to have a finger articulation attached to one note so it the xml export file has that instead of a the finger number placement on the paper?
