I'm on MacOS Sierra, Finale v26

I am trying to create a multi-measure rest in a score where some of the staves are hidden. One of the hidden staves has music in it... but the staves that are viewable are blank. I've been able to create multi-measure rests in this situation elsewhere in the score... but not in one instance.
I've tried all the normal tricks... deleting the two problem bars and creating two new bars... checking the measure attributes... clearing the measures... no use.

In Document options/Multi-measure rests, try turning on "update automatically".

Are you trying to create multi-measure rests in the full score or only in the parts?

If I understand you correctly, the viewable staves have Blank Notation - right?

Unfortunately a Multimeasure Rest can not be combined with Blank Notation.

Solution: Remove the Blank Notation from the measures that should be included in the Multimeasure Rests.

Anyway, you do not need Blank Notation in a Multimeasure Rest.
