Finale v. 26

When I extract midi fils from Finale notation files the program makes choices that baffle me and I cannot find where to make universal changes. Most annoyingly, repeated notes are the full note value while moving notes are a bit shorter. This seems backwards to me and I would like to not have to make the changes manually. This simple choice cannot be found in the Human Playback Custom Style dialog box.

You say you extracted the MIDI info. How? To what?

 

I extract to a DAW and often have to shorten repeated notes a little so that they play correctly. This is quick in a piano roll editor. I never use Human Playbact. Finale is not a performance instrument for me.

I save a midi file and import it into protools to record using Kontakt. I always have to add time at cadences, shorten repeated notes and do other things to make the recordings sound less stilted. I am just baffled by the super legato repeated notes. I rarely use human playback.
