I use Finale ver. 26 and Windows 10 and have observed following when merging f.example 4 movements files:

  • the tempo marking does not show up in the merged file for all four movements
  • in the measures where I have combined layer 1 and 2, layer 2 information have been "pushed 1 or 2 maesures in forward direction

Has anyone observed same problem and then what to do about it?

Is there something in the basic set-up, I may have to do to rectify the problems?

Thank you in advance for any good ideas.

There is more than one way to merge Finale documents.

What are your steps when you merge?

 

… combined layer 1 and 2 …

 

I am not sure what you mean by your words.

Are you saying that the measure contains notes in both Layer 1 and Layer 2?

(unlike other measures which use only Layer 1)

 

Or are you perhaps talking about the Speedy Entry Tool feature {Voice 1 / Voice 2}?
