I am running Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan) and want to know if I should buy the verson 27 upgrade.  I am doing OK with version 26 despite the old age involved as the computer was bought in 2010.  I know wome things did not work well, but they do work in v. 26.  Before I spent the money, I need to know about this.  Thanks.

Don’t. I’m not sure that F27 will even run on El Capitan. And so far, I haven’t seen anything worth upgrading for.

Just purchased version 27 but am unable to install.  Maybe my password is incorrect but I had it written down.  When I try to install the window shakes.   My email is mdesah@aol.com.  Can a technician call me @ 747-230 5586?

Robert,

From what you describe, it sounds like you need to enter your password for the installer to run on your computer. The password required for this is your user account password for your computer, not your MakeMusic account password. Try entering this and see if you get different results.

Just purchased Version 27.  Am running on a Mac and my OS is Catalina.  I upgraded from version 26 of finale but cannot install version 27 or uninstall version 26.  Maybe I should download version 27 again.  I have written 3 different passwords and none of them work.  The window just shakes.  Perhaps you could give me a temporary password.  I will delete version 27 and try a download again.  Robert Rivera.   My serial# for Finale

Robert,

Please do not post your serial number on the forums. I have removed this from your post for you to avoid any issues. Typically you will want to avoid posting most personal information here.

If the window you are entering in the password in shakes, this window a macOS dialog window. So you need to enter in your computer's password. Unfortunately, this is not something that we at MakeMusic can provide for you or provide a temporary replacement for.

>I am running Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan) and want to know …<

Dang, I gave away my last iMac loaded with El Cap day before yesterday or I'd be glad to give it a try. My buddy was looking for something to run Sibelius 6 and this 2009 was sitting in my e-waste recycling box… Sorry 'bout that. I doubt it but it was worth a try.
