I'm using finale 2014.5 which finale no longer supports.

I've got issues with expression not changing the tempo or feel. for example, adding a tempo expression does not change tempo. the control panel tempo overrides the expression. (I've checked by drastically altering tempo in the control panel)

Also, Adding Swing feel in "tempo Marks" does not always produce swing on every staff. I've worked around by making a misc. expression for swing and adding it to every staff. Pretty lame.

Does the latest version of finale finally let you edit tempo changes graphically? I realize it's a notation software, but since so many of us are using tracks and making tracks...

I understand how tempo hierarchies work. what I'm saying is, in this chart, it isn't working like it should. The playback controls override the expression. I followed the link you provided and cleared tempo data in midi data, but the playback controls still rule.

MIDI was the top priority in PrintMusic 2014, also.

You can send me the file if you like. My Macs will not run 2014.5 but I can clear the tempo and show you how I did it. The graphics are different in 27 but the principles are the same.

Thanks. I figured it out. I was soloing the audio track to lift parts so apparently it didn't read the tempo change expression.
