I've been using this program for years and this problem has just appeared. When I highlight a measure to delete it then go to "delete measure stack," nothing happens. Then, if I click anywhere on the document, the whole page goes blank, the program crashes, and I have to just close out. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but that didn't help. I am on Windows and have version 27 of Finale. Any ideas? Thanks!
I suppose that you have also tried the usual steps of re-booting the computer, and also resetting Finale’s Preferences - right?
Since installing and re-installing Finale did not help, it sounds like a corrupt Finale document.
If everything else fails, try exporting as a MusicXML file.
Then, import this MusicXML into a fresh, new Finale document.

I will also try exporting as a MusicXML file.
I've opened several documents, as well as starting a brand new document, and Finale seems be behaving the same way with all of them.
