I can't install a newly purchased version: Finale 2016, v25. I get the following message: This program can only be installed on versions of Windows designed for the following processor architectures: x64.
Please help.
Finale is now a 64 bit application. Your computer hardware and OS has to be compatible with this. (Looks like your OS should be upgraded.)
If you can list your computer specs and the OS you are using, maybe someone could suggest an upgrade that would work.
Edit - Sorry I did not see the previous replies. This new forum can be difficult to navigate.
Oh dear. Apparently, there's no way to do this without doing a clean install in Windows.

I can't complete the download of my upgrade from 2012. I can't find any number other than my original Serial number that I used for the past 30 years. Give me a break here. It's become beyond ludicrous that I can't speak to a human being to assist me. 30 years, Can't I get some consideration. I have tried several ways to reach Make Music (Finale) to no avail. If someone knows how to reach them so I can get some assistance, I would appreciate it.
Thanks, Ian Kay
If you have purchased the upgrade, you should have an activation code or a direct link.—unless that isn't what you are complaining about, in that case, you need to tell us what the problem is.
If you have an activation code or a direct link, try a different browser than Google Chrome such as FireFox—that worked for me. Temporarily disable antivirus software—this helped others.
If that's not the problem, tell us what you are trying to do, what errors you are receiving, what OS and what steps you have taken so far.
Hello Ian.
I want to let you know that we removed your email address information from your post for your security. If you wouldn't mind in the future, please avoid posting personal information (serial numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, etc.) to the public forum.
I took on your case and you should be seeing an email from me in the near future! I look forward to resolving this case for you.
The download sequence has no effect. You are allowed two installations—if you have already used both, you can't authorize your new computer without deactivating the license on one of the old ones.
If you are no longer going to run Finale on the old one, fire it up and deactivate the license while connected to the internet. Do that first if you have already used both installations, otherwise, it won't affect the second.
