I have downloaded Finale 25 to my new iMac OS X El Capitan and it is working.  In "applications" I have folders for Finale 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2014.5.  Should I remove these files?  I have left them on because I don't know how much of these earlier versions is shared with Finale 25 and by removing them I might make Finale 25 dysfunctional.

Every Finale version is a stand-alone application. Having earlier versions installed does not affect the newer versions at all.

It seems like users are uncovering difficulties with v25, so I personally would keep 2014 and 2014.5 "just in case". I'd also keep 2012, as 2014 files can be saved back to 2012. Again, "just in case". The others can probably be uninstalled.

My opinion, for what it's worth.

You can remove all if you want. Worst case, you reinstall 25. I would leave 2014.5 installed till some of the 25 bugs are resolved but that's me.

I recently reinstalled 2011 to test something but will be removing it and 2014 soon, perhaps today.

I had major issues with leaving 2009 installed so removed it and 2010 after I upgraded to 2011.
