When i use articulations tool to add piano finger numbers, i don't have any problem when i add two numbers two notes in the same place in treble clef, for example in the first beat 2 notes: G and B i add the numbers 2 for the G and 4 for the B, then the number 2 is below the number 4. I use metatools for add each number.
When i do the same in bass clef then the positioning numbers are wrong, the position of the numbers is reversed, example: i have 2 notes C and G, the number for C would be 5 finger and for G 2 finger in the score the number 2 is below the number 5 when i add the numbers using metatools.

What version of Finale are you using ?

Windows ? (assuming)

 

Regarding your problem:

My first guess would be that the articulations are stacked according to their order in the window Articulation Selection.

In Other Words:

For left hand fingerings, use duplicate copies of the fingering articulations where the duplicate copies are displayed in reverse order in the Articulation Selection.

The version is 27.4.1

Tested and work fine. But I can assign the keys 1 to 5 metatools because are assigned to the 1 to 5 normal numbers. My system  is Windows 10.

An idea:

In the Articulation Selection, make duplicate copies of the fingerings.

Use the duplicate copies for left hand fingerings, that is: order the duplicate copies in reverse order in the Articulation Selection.

Then, program metatools for the left hand fingerings.

For the metatool trigger keys, use e. g. the five letter keys below the number keys 1–5:

Q - W - E - R - T
