Articulation tool doesn't work at ALL with Finale 25.

Selecting the articulation tool and attempting to add an articulation does absolutely nothing. No response, no fermata, no nothing. How do bugs like this end up in production? This can't have been tested at all! Late 2015 iMac 27 inch, Mac OS 10.12. Come on guys: this software is too expensive and too old to have problems like this.

I have not found this to be the case. Make sure you are in the same Layer as the note to which you want to apply the articulation.

Finale crashes whenever I attempt to apply articulation to a measure. How do I fix this?

I have no problems with most of them. I can select a range of notes and apply staccatos to them, &c. But I am also having trouble with fermatas not appearing, whether singly or across the staves, nothing happens when you click select?

Sierra has been known to cause problems with Finale and some other music programs.Are you using Sierra on your Mac? (I don't memorize Mac OS version numbers.)

I have the same problem, using Finale 25.4 on Windows 10. Clicking either the expression or articulation tool does not bring up the dialog box thingie with all the options. And nothing happens either. I've had this happen many times with Finale, Notepad and SongWriter. In fact, I got the full version hoping that would fix it!

Your problem is not typical.

I suspect that there is something else going on.

Please specify the steps you've already taken, so that we can rule out things.

I started with a new document using the Setup Wizard. However, I had Finale running using a few other documents (which were all closed).

I closed Finale completely, but didn't reboot the computer, and the problem still happens.

I'm running the software on a Dell laptop, Inspiron 15. Using a Logitech mouse which is mostly what I used to enter the notes.

Guess I'll try a reboot... but that takes a lotta time! Will report back on that later.

Every time I want to Apply an articulation to several notes and do a selection a pop-up appears saying.. About Human PLayback 2004-2011 MakeMusic inc Build 2.6.0.9 Designed and programmed by Robert P. No way can I have access to the option Apply articulation. Even if I go through Utilities-Apply articulation the pop-up window appears. I have to put my staccatos one by one. I have Finale 25.5.290
